Principals' Message

Dear Valley View Middle School Community,

Valley View Middle School maintains a strong commitment to preparing students with the knowledge, skills, integrity, and character necessary for success in high school and beyond. Our focus is to bring our community together to offer outstanding academic and co-curricular programs that provide opportunities for all students to perform at their highest level and reach their full potential.

Guided by our school motto—“Strive for Excellence and Do the Right Thing”—we encourage our students to take PRIDE in their educational journey: Positivity, Respect, Improvement, and Diligence, which lead to Excellence. We also ground our school culture in our Viking Values: Be Respectful, Be Safe, and Be Responsible. These values help students grow not only academically, but socially and emotionally, and contribute to a positive, supportive campus environment.

Our educators collaborate to deliver engaging, purposeful instruction aligned with essential standards, ensuring students are well-prepared for the future. Equally important is our focus on building strong relationships across campus. We believe students thrive when they feel seen, supported, and connected. Whether it’s administrators greeting students between classes, teachers welcoming them at their doors, or campus supervisors offering encouragement, every interaction contributes to a positive and inclusive school culture.

We also value communication and partnership with our families. Research shows that when families are involved, students experience greater academic and personal growth. At VVMS, we use multiple platforms to keep our community informed and engaged. Our dedicated PTSA plays a key role in supporting staff, students, and schoolwide initiatives.
