Principal's Message

I am humbled and honored to join Simi Valley Unified School District as Valley View Middle School’s new Principal. The history and traditions of SVUSD and VVMS speak for themselves as well as our commitment to take students “from here to anywhere” as we prepare them for a bright future on a global stage. 

On behalf of our hardworking faculty and staff, I would like to welcome students, parents and community members to the 2026-2027 school year. As principal, my focus is ensuring that ALL students feel safe, seen and engaged in our school community through a combination of:

*High expectations matched by high support,

*A safe campus where students feel connected to at least one trusted adult and to one another,

*Opportunities to be involved in at least one of our many clubs, athletic programs, visual and performing arts programs or other extracurricular activities

Middle school is a crucial time in a student’s TK-12 journey and daily attendance is key with middle school attendance being a better predictor of college persistence and success than standardized test scores. I challenge our Vikings to be on time, strive for excellence and do the right thing each day in August to set a tone for a successful school year.  

Additionally, I encourage all parents to look for opportunities to get involved such as our supportive PTSA. Research shows the importance of strong school-to-home and home-to-school communication and that when families are involved in their child’s schooling, students achieve greater academic and personal growth. With that in mind, we invite all of you to “meet us in the middle” this school year!
